The Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage Site major attraction in India along with its high hills, deep valleys, mountain grasslands, dense & rain forest. During the monsoon season many hidden rivers offers some of the spectacular waterfalls that are still hidden in the dense Forest.

Arishina Gundi Falls (1 out of 10 places to visit in Udupi)

This falls are deep inside the forests near Kodachadri hills. which can only be reached by trekking for more than 2 KM. The road can be reached by hiring Jeep from Kollur Temple. The trekking starts after 8 Kms drive through thick forest. There are signs showing way to the waterfalls on trek route. Entry permission can be obtained at the check post while entering into the forest. It is advisable to visit during the mid summer (From Dec to Feb) when water is calm

Hidlumane Falls, Hidlumane Falls, Shimoga (2 out of 10 places to visit in Shimoga)

Hidlumane Falls offers a refreshing sight to the viewers. Hidlumane falls is a series of cascading falls with about 6 or 7 falls one after another. The beauty of these falls is that each of these falls are hidden from one another. Hidlumane Falls is located at 4 km from Bellakka village near Nittur and 45 km from hosanagar. To reach the falls you need to trek through rocky hills filled up with lush trees all around. The best time to visit the waterfall is during the post monsoon season.

The Irupu Falls (also Iruppu Falls) is located in the Brahmagiri Range[1] in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, India, bordering the Wayanad district of Kerala. However, among all the attractions near Magod Falls, the Kulimagod Falls (in Kannada, kuli means pond) stands out for its sheer beauty and accessibility. It is formed by a tiny tributary of Bedti and its relatively easy accessibility has made it a not-to-be missed spot for nature tourists who travel to Magod Falls. Normally, it takes a great amount of trekking down the valley for one to reach the foot of any waterfall. This is not the case with Kulimagod. Sirimane Falls is one among the many waterfalls of the Western Ghats of Karnataka. Sirimane Falls is located at a distance of 5 km from Kigga near Sringeri, a popular pilgrim center. Nearest Airport is Mangalore and nearest Railway stations are Udupi (96 KM) and Shimoga (114 KM). Kigga, a small village which houses the beautiful waterfalls. Kigga is about 16 km from Sringeri. Vibhooti Falls is located at approx 45km from Sirsi, 42km from Gokarn, 130km from Hubli, 164km from Goa, 252km from Mangalore, 444km from Bengaluru.
