Chikmagalur district also know as "Chikkamagaluru" is a tourists paradise in Karnataka. It is home to few of the top hill stations in india. District also has 2 wildlife sanctuaries Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary and Kudremukh National Park which are tropical wet evergreen type of forest in the Western Ghats.

Chikmagalur also has lot of prime pilgrim places which are visited by large number of tourists, major ones being the Sringeri on the banks of Tunga, Horanadu, Kalasa, Guru Dattatreya Bababudanswamy Darga also know as Datta Peeta Situated on the Baba Budan Giri and Deviramma Betta Temple.
