Jallianwala Bagh Overview

Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden in Amritsar which witnessed the massacre of peaceful celebrants including unarmed women and children by British occupying forces on 13 April 1919. It also houses a memorial of national importance, established in 1951 by the Government of India. Jallianwala Bagh is situated close to the Golden Temple and is a must visit when in Amritsar. Amritsar is located at approximately 226km from Chandigarh, 466km from New Delhi.
