The Dooars valley The Bengal part of Dooars, which stretches from River Teesta on the west to River Sankosh on the east, is an area coving roughly 130 km by 40 km. The area forms a major part of the Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Coochbehar district and is one of the most important tourist areas. The Jalpaiguri district treasures some of the best natural forests in the region. Jalpaiguri is located at approx 108km from Darjeeling, 158kom from Gangtok.
