The Krishna Raja Sagara Dam or KRS Dam was built across river Kaveri, near Krishnarajasagara town where three rivers namely, Kaveri, Hemavathi & Lakshmana Thirtha, in Mandy District of Karnataka, India. It is one the most famous dams in South India Named after Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV of Mysore. KRS Dam is also locally called as Kannambadi Katte or Dam.
