Burzahom Archaeological Site is a prehistoric settlement located in the village of the Burzahom in the Srinagar District of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Located in the valley of Kashmir, the archaeological excavations of the ancient site and remains at the Burzahom archaeological site date back to 3000 BC and 1000 BC. The large cache of tools and implements made of bone and stone found at the site shows that the inhabitants were hunting and farming. It is located on a 'karewa' between the banks of the Dal Lake and the Zabarvan hills, about 5 km from the famous Mughal garden of Shalimar.
