Ramappa Temple is lcated in Palmapet in Mulugu district(Previously was in Warangal), of Telangana, India. The temple, known for its beautiful intricate carvings, is the only temple in the country which has been named after its sculptor, Ramappa, who took 40 years to build the temple and this Kakatiya era structure, has been nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage site selection process for 2019. The temple is a Shivalaya, where Lord Ramalingeswara is worshipped. It stands majestically on a 6 ft high star-shaped platform.
