Supa Dam Overview

Supa Dam is built across Kali river near the town of Ganeshgudi (near Dandeli) in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India. The power house at the foot of the dam has two electricity generators of fifty megawatt each. Supa Dam and its reservoir is the big reason for the survival of the wildlife around this area. The view is amazing , the greenery all around and the blue waters make it a perfect sight . The gigantic dam is a must visit place. Everyone is not allowed to enter dam, but one can enjoy the beautiful view of blue backwaters from a view point located in Ramanagar Road 5kms from Ganeshgudi. Must visit place when you visit Dandeli National Park / Anshi National Park or Kaali Tiger Reserve. Supa Dam is lcoated at approx 1km from Ganeshgudi, 23km from Dandeli, 105km from Karwar, 86km from Hubli, 470km from Bengaluru, 87km from Goa, 417km from Pune.
